I never thought I’d see anything like this. You know, when people tell you stories about some miracle, and you just laugh and say, “Yeah, sure.” But then you find yourself at the heart of it all — and suddenly, you’re part of that magic. That’s exactly what happened at the “Golden Autumn” rally, which took place from October 25 to 27 in Salaspils, at Doles Sala — a place I had only heard about in legends but never expected to visit.
This rally was meant to be the culmination of the year, a beautiful chord and a soft period at the end of a long season. But, as always, everything turned out to be a hundred times brighter than we could have imagined. Many club friends, who couldn’t attend previous rallies, came this time. Their arrival was like a spark that ignited the entire atmosphere, fueling the fire of emotions and unprecedented enthusiasm.
Day One: Greetings, Smiles, and the Magical Sauna
When I arrived, the camp was already in full swing. Smiles, conversations, the warmth of the fire, the scent of fresh air — and right in front of me — a lake, like something out of a fairy tale. If someone had told me that these people were not just resting but living for this rally, I wouldn’t have believed them. But I saw it with my own eyes: a sea of joy, shared stories, jokes, and laughter. And how could we forget the sauna and the lake? It’s not just a ritual; it’s a whole philosophy. The water, like a remedy, cleansed not only the body but also the soul. And in that moment, I understood that I wasn’t here by chance. I had found myself in a real spectacle, where everything had been planned to perfection.
Day Two: Immersion in Culture and Music for the Soul
Saturday began with a visit to the local museum. But it wasn’t just about “visit and leave.” It was a genuine cultural experience, one that made you reflect. After returning, we sat down for lunch, and the club’s solyanka awaited us — this wasn’t just a meal, it was a true Latvian miracle that recharged our energy even more. After lunch, another sauna awaited us, but this time it was not only for the body but also for the soul.
Then came the evening — and the music. A saxophone concert, performed by one of the best in Europe. The sounds of the saxophone flowed smoothly into the air, creating an atmosphere where time lost its power. We talked, laughed, and discussed our future plans. In moments like these, you forget about time — and before you know it, morning arrives. The drivers, engrossed in technical conversations, couldn’t resist discussing their cars, while the women… the women in dance reminded us once again that the most important thing in life is not the problems or tasks but the road with your beloved one by your side.
Day Three: The Conclusion That Became the Beginning
Sunday… It wasn’t a day that ended the event; it was a day that marked a comma, as if we had opened a new page. We knew that by turning the page of this year, we would begin writing an exciting new chapter for our club. And who can say where it will take us? But one thing was certain — we would never forget this season.
Looking at the people here, I realized that the club is not just an organization; it’s a real family where everyone is ready to support and help. And perhaps only those who have been here can truly understand what a real rally is. It’s not just a vacation, not just a gathering of people. It’s an entire world, where every individual matters, where everyone is unique, and where there’s always room for new stories, new meetings, and new plans.
I looked around at all of us sitting by the fire, and I knew: this is just the beginning.
